Darren Faulk

Darren Faulk serves as the Chief Financial Officer at CFX Labs Inc. He has been instrumental in both shaping CFX's financial strategy and ensuring operational excellence during his tenure. By crafting innovative partnership agreements, he has secured access to foreign exchange rates that would typically be out of reach for a startup. This pivotal move has enabled CFX to offer users low-fee, nearly instantaneous transfers, particularly in the crucial U.S.-to-Mexico remittance corridor. Complementing this, Darren has worked closely with the internal engineering team to develop robust ledgers and reconciliation mechanisms. This dual focus ensures CFX not only meets fiduciary obligations but also maintains the highest standards of financial accountability and risk management.

Additionally, Darren successfully led the team through a complete GAAP financial statement audit, achieving this remarkable feat during the most volatile period for blockchain companies and their auditors. This accomplishment not only underscores CFX's financial integrity but also positions the company as a reliable player in the fintech landscape.

Before joining CFX, Darren held senior financial positions at various tech firms, enriching his expertise in financial governance. Notably, he served as the Vice President of Finance at Sila, where he was pivotal in growing the company from pre-revenue to several million in Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR) and successfully raised over $10 million in funding. It was during his tenure at Sila that Darren met CFX's CEO, Nick, who was then serving as the Head of Growth. Their professional alignment led to Darren's subsequent role at CFX, adding another layer of strategic depth to the company's leadership. Prior to Sila, Darren served at Opus Agency, Complí (which was later acquired by KPA Services), and InComm Digital Solutions. He began his professional journey at PwC LLP and Grant Thornton LLP, where he honed his skills in financial statement audits across a range of companies, from emerging tech startups to publicly traded international organizations.
